A new video has surfaced, offering insights into the tragic accident in Bolton that claimed the lives of four individuals. The footage captures a driver reaching speeds exceeding 120mph, maneuvering recklessly through traffic lanes. This video is now a crucial part of the police inquiry into the fatal collision on Wigan Road.

In the video, a vehicle can be seen speeding along a crowded street, overtaking other cars and swerving into oncoming traffic. At one point, the speedometer registers a staggering 122mph. It is suspected that the video was recorded by a passenger in the Seat Leon involved in the crash, which resulted in the deaths of three teenagers and a 54-year-old taxi driver in a Citroen C4 Picasso.

The taxi driver, identified as Masrob Ali, tragically lost his life in the incident. The video, timestamped at 3am on Saturday, just a day before the fatal crash at 12.50am on Sunday, has been widely shared on social media platforms.

Authorities at Greater Manchester Police are incorporating the video into their investigations, aiming to shed light on the circumstances leading to the collision. Emergency responders rushed to the scene on Wigan Road after the Seat collided head-on with the Picasso, claiming the lives of the Seat’s driver and two passengers.

The deceased have been identified as Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, Farhan Patel, and Mohammed Danyaal, all teenagers, along with Masrob Ali, the taxi driver. Several injured passengers were transported to the hospital, with one woman from the Citroen sustaining severe injuries.

Family members of Mr. Ali described him as a compassionate individual and a dedicated taxi driver of a decade. Authorities are urging the public to refrain from sharing sensitive footage on social media out of respect for the affected families.

Detective Inspector Andrew Page from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit emphasized the ongoing investigation’s importance and expressed gratitude to the emergency services for their swift response. Witnesses or individuals with relevant footage are encouraged to come forward by contacting the authorities directly or through the charity Crimestoppers hotline.
