A woman previously linked to Prince Harry has been taken into custody for allegedly departing a hotel in Majorca without settling a bill of almost £450. Catherine Ommanney, a 53-year-old reality TV personality, was apprehended yesterday on suspicion of fraud following a report by the hotel manager to the authorities. It is claimed that she left the Playas del Rey Hotel in Santa Ponsa without paying a bill exceeding €500 (£434) for a nine-day stay.
Law enforcement authorities have affirmed the arrest. Catherine, who has disclosed details of a past romantic involvement with Harry, faced a judge in Palma, the capital of Majorca, on the same day. She was released on bail pending further investigation. Reports suggest that Catherine utilized a card with insufficient funds to book her accommodation.
Following her release, Catherine declined to comment on the situation. She had previously revealed details of a brief relationship with Prince Harry in 2006. Catherine stated that their interactions, which she described as friendly, ceased after a few encounters. She insists that the hotel bill in question had been settled and attributes any discrepancies to a technical error by the hotel.
Efforts to reach court officials for updates on the case and investigation status remain unanswered. The hotel where the incident occurred declined to provide any additional information to the media at this time.
