The company that operates Revolution bars has announced a deadline for bids next week following its decision to put itself on the market. The Revel Collective, which runs 62 venues under different brands including Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba, and Peach Pubs, made this move in October 2025 due to a decline in sales.

According to a report by Sky News, interested bidders must submit their offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting assisting in the formal sale process. Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective sites, although it is uncertain if they will submit a bid.

The Mirror reached out to The Revel Collective, formerly known as Revolution Bars, for a statement. The company had initiated a sales process in April 2024 but abandoned it after rejecting a proposed offer from competitor Nightcap. As part of a restructuring plan approved by the High Court, around 36 sites were closed in 2024.

In an update in October 2025, company executives highlighted challenges from the economic environment and governmental interventions affecting their performance since the restructuring. Revenues decreased by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months leading to September, primarily driven by a 10.5% decline in bars business.

The company attributed the sales drop to pressures on its younger customer base due to cost-of-living issues. Debt increased from £22.1 million to £25.3 million by the end of June. Luke Johnson, former Pizza Express executive, took over as chairman of The Revel Collective in September, succeeding Keith Edelman. Johnson expressed interest in acquiring distinctive businesses to potentially lead in the market.
