The daughter of a cannibal shared her enduring love for her father, despite his gruesome act of consuming her stepmother. Jamie-Lee Arrow described her childhood home as resembling a scene from a horror movie, being raised by “The Skara Cannibal.”
In 2010, Jamie-Lee’s father, Isakin Drabbad, fatally attacked and consumed parts of his girlfriend, Helle Christensen. Following his conviction for murder, he was placed in a mental health facility in 2011 but later transitioned to outpatient status in 2020, residing in Sweden.
Recounting her parents’ deteriorating relationship, Jamie-Lee revealed that Helle had forewarned her of Drabbad’s deadly intentions, indicating his descent into violence. Tragically, the situation escalated, leading to Helle’s brutal murder amidst a tumultuous altercation witnessed by Jamie-Lee and her siblings.
On the fateful night of November 12, 2010, Drabbad, 32, carried out the heinous act of killing Helle by slitting her throat, decapitating her, and cooking and consuming parts of her flesh. The shocking news of Helle’s death was initially confirmed to Jamie-Lee by her mother, leaving her in disbelief until her father disclosed the full details.
The case garnered significant attention in Sweden, becoming one of the country’s most notorious crimes. In a documentary revealing her upbringing, Jamie-Lee disclosed eerie details like her father creating macabre “voodoo dolls” and surrounding their home with dark, horror-themed decor.
Despite the unsettling past, Jamie-Lee expressed a complex sentiment of still loving her father, emphasizing the enduring bond between parent and child. She affirmed her commitment to shielding her own children from darkness and providing them with love and security.
