“Sky merges Cinema Animation & Family Channels, Introduces Smart Home Security Devices”

Sky subscribers are in for a change as the company merges Sky Cinema Animation and Sky Cinema Family into a single channel, effective April 30. The move aims to streamline the service, offering family-friendly films on channel 304. Viewers can look forward to popular titles like the Shrek series, The Secret Life of Pets, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in one place. Although the standalone Sky Cinema Animation channel will be removed, it will return temporarily during school holidays. Additionally, Sky has introduced new smart home security devices, including the Sky Smart Doorbell and Chime for £5 per month with a £15 upfront cost. Customers can opt for the Smart Home Bundle for added features at £8 per month and a £20 upfront fee. According to Paul Sweeney, Managing Director of Sky Smart Home, the focus is on providing easy access to premium smart technology that is user-friendly and affordable.
