A 70-year-old woman tragically passed away following a ride on a rollercoaster at a theme park. The incident occurred on the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster at Universal Orlando, Florida, as per recently disclosed records.

After the high-speed ride came to a stop, the woman was discovered unresponsive and was swiftly transported to the hospital on November 25. Unfortunately, despite efforts, she could not be revived. The exact cause of her death was not revealed in the report, but there were eight other incidents of injuries or medical episodes reported at the park between October and December, including complaints of chest pains, sickness, and back pains.

The report did not elaborate on the specifics of the incident, stating that it is based on data collected at the time of the occurrence due to privacy concerns. The Revenge of the Mummy ride, known for reaching speeds of up to 45 mph and featuring sudden stops, backward movements, and a 39-foot drop, mostly takes place in dimly lit or pitch-black settings, intensifying the sensation of speed and unpredictability.

Since its opening in 2004, the ride has been associated with numerous injuries, totaling 21 incidents reported in connection with the coaster. While a Universal spokesperson refrained from commenting on pending claims, it remains uncertain if any claims have been filed against the park.

The Orlando Police Department confirmed that no death investigation has been initiated, and the Orlando Fire Department had no details regarding the incident at hand.

In a separate theme park incident last year, a teenager sustained injuries after being ejected from his seat on a 360-degree swing ride at its peak height. Witnesses observed the 13-year-old falling to the ground, resulting in a broken leg and two fingers. The ride’s swinging motion proceeded as intended, but the teenager lost grip and fell while the swing was descending.

Subsequently, the youngster fell from a height of approximately one-and-a-half to two meters and was promptly taken to a hospital, where it was determined that he had suffered three broken bones at Jatim Park in Indonesia.
