A 24-year-old man named Abdullah Khan has admitted to committing two acts of terrorism. He set fire to a pub owned by Conor McGregor and allegedly attacked two police officers with a knife. The arson incident took place at the Black Forge Inn on Drimnagh Road in Dublin on July 25 of the previous year. Just four days later, he reportedly assaulted the two officers in Dublin city center.

Khan faced charges of arson for damaging the pub, assault causing harm to one officer, attempting to harm another officer, and other related offenses. His defense counsel, Michael Bowman SC, mentioned a complex psychological background in the case and requested a psychological evaluation for the defendant.

During the altercation with the police, Khan reportedly wielded a knife and engaged in behavior that posed a significant risk of harm. The officers used batons and pepper spray to subdue him before arresting him.

In addition to the charges mentioned, Khan also faced accusations of engaging in terrorist activities during the incidents in July of the previous year. He pleaded guilty to all eight charges in front of a three-judge panel.

The case was adjourned by Ms. Justice Karen O’Connor for victim impact statements, and the defendant was remanded in custody until March 23.
